Washington Federal Way Mission; July 2013 - May 2014

I want to share my testimony with you. I know God lives, he loves and cares about me and is very watchful of me. He is my Father in Heaven, I am his Son. Heavenly Father sent his Son, Jesus Christ to come to this earth, to show us the way to return to live with our Father in Heaven. Christ suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane for my sins, my bad days, and my hard aches willingly. He then died on the cross. He rose three days. He is my Savior, my Redeemer. I would have no hope without Jesus Christ. He is my Light and Life. I am so grateful for my Mother and Father here on earth. They have truly sacrificed so much for me to be here on a mission. Thank You. I know Joseph Smith saw God the Father and his Son, Jesus Christ in the grove. Joseph restored the true and living church back to this earth, and because of that, i can take the sacrament each week, and be cleansed from sin. I love the temple so much, there is truly a spirit of power there. God is over this work. I am so grateful for this opportunity to serve a mission. May God bless you until we meet again. I say that in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

  2. Hey Family,

as most of you know im in Aberdeen, Washington. i cover aberdeen lake quinalt and ocean shores. i live in cosmosplois right of the 101. im doing really great. i have been a little under the weather with a runny nose and cough, and now an ear infection but i still keep working. we go tracting almost everynight between 5-7 i have knocked on probably more than 200 doors. placed 8 book of mormons and found 3 new invetigators. the really exciting news this week is we have a baptism on the 7th. he is a nine year old little boy but it still is really amazing. We have dinners at a memebers house everynight expect on mondays which is p-day. it has rained on me during tracting about 70% of the time and thers a saying in the mission it kinda goes like this, "everytime it rains during tracting your wife gets alittle hotter!" so yes sometimes we pray for rain. we got to go to the Seattle Temple last wednesday that was really neat. i get to drive everywhere we go cuz my companion totalled a mission car and got his blue card taken away so im pretty excited about that. our apartment is the upstairs of a house, its really big. a nice way we unwind after a long day is a good old nerf war. were getting reallly good. im still trying to get fimilar with the schedule and that but i am glad im out here. my goal during the first 12 weeks is to read the old testament and doctine and covents. i love the ward we go to. i have learned so much the past month. i hope everything is going smooth and flowing fine. aberdeen is an intersting place. like saturday we tracted this apartment i have video i will send out at the end of the transfer which is July 4th. and pictures to mom and she will responible to post it on facebook and get it out to everybody else. but the door was probably 6 feet high so i had to bend to get close to it. another aprtment was saying they have to take out the light bulbs eachnight so they dont get stolen. they said it was a miracle if they didnt get broken into each night. but i do love aberdeen. i have meet some interesting people and taught alot. i will keep you poisted i will try to send one of these each week after i write to you personal so i love you guys i miss you tons and pray each night for all of you. God bless or Que Dios Le Bendiga. you are great this Elder Johnson OUT!!

  3. Hey Family.

i love you guys so much. my pday is on moday for those who have asked. we had a baptism on thursday and confirmation on sunday. i was the witness so no i did not baptism him. but i was in the circle to confirm him. it was really neat experience to be able to be apart of that. friday me and my companion decide to drop all of our investigators and start fresh. except the holbrooks. so saturday we were knocking for 4 hours wow. but hey i placed 3 book of mormons that day. i have been taking pictures and will be sending them some time next week to mother. i have taken videos also. i love this work and i love this area. the ward is a bit ify but we are working hard. we have dinners everynight except pdays and im loving that. it has been hard being sick i found out i have a yellow ear infection and broncitis i think thats how you spell it but im recovering finally. we been doing alot of service we built a fence and planetd a garden and mowed a lawn. today we are going to elma to play sports at the stake center with the ZLs. next week we will probably be going to westport and checking out the Tall ships( they came in on friday video and picture to come)

i beleive we have zone conference and district meeting this week so its already busy. and filling up fast. you guys can check up on pictures and things going on in the mission at the blog i know im on there. http://www.thebeautifulwa-tac.blogspot.com/ so you can check that. i will try to send some pictures with the email next week and i will try to put a video up of us tracting this crazy apartment. aberdeen is a weird place. we went a saw this a guy this week who is crazy and had this presentation about ones salvation. he had pictures of aliens on his wall he danced and sang. i will have to send the packet home to dad so hey can distrubite it out it was weird. umm also in aberdeen there this cool toy called a kandama its really cool and basic i might buy one. the sunsets have been nice. i love driving but getting tired of listen to the same cd three times a day so if i could get some lds music me and my compaion would love ya. im doing really great. i have learned alot of different things not only about missionary work but about jospeh smith and jesus christ. i started reading the old testament for the first time im already in exodus 35 my goal is to finish it before my year mark. i started reading the book of mormon again. and i studying the gospel principles and PMG. i have learned lot and how little i know about the gospel although institute helped. im trying my best and i pray for you guys every night. i think about you when im down. one thing i would really like is if you guys could get together and put together a photoablum of the family so i can have it. i love this gosel i know it true. christ really walked on this earth and died and suffered for each one of us. he lives again today. another thing i will be sending home is a song my companion wrote about jesus its really good. i klnow thomas s monson is the prophet today. jospeh smith saw god the father and jesus christ. and restorated the gospel and the priesthood. this church is true. i will also be writing our mission statement i want it on the blog i love you guys and wish you well my love is being sent your way. you guys are great and helped me through alot. im doing great. this is elder Johnson getting back to WORK and is out!!!
