I want to share my testimony with you. I know God lives, he loves and cares about me and is very watchful of me. He is my Father in Heaven, I am his Son. Heavenly Father sent his Son, Jesus Christ to come to this earth, to show us the way to return to live with our Father in Heaven. Christ suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane for my sins, my bad days, and my hard aches willingly. He then died on the cross. He rose three days. He is my Savior, my Redeemer. I would have no hope without Jesus Christ. He is my Light and Life. I am so grateful for my Mother and Father here on earth. They have truly sacrificed so much for me to be here on a mission. Thank You. I know Joseph Smith saw God the Father and his Son, Jesus Christ in the grove. Joseph restored the true and living church back to this earth, and because of that, i can take the sacrament each week, and be cleansed from sin. I love the temple so much, there is truly a spirit of power there. God is over this work. I am so grateful for this opportunity to serve a mission. May God bless you until we meet again. I say that in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Book Of Mormon Testimony

wow, hey there hello family from the distance land of Gig Heaven. we are live and reporting on the many great and wonderous things of your missionary. he is well and quite living, at least he is still breathing walking and talking.

haha oh my hey family.
this week has been super slow but this last three weeks will fly by super fast. there is alot coming up and great things. to come
we have done alot of hard work and we have four new pots and continue to strive for the stars. gig harbor is complete oppostite of anything i have ever seen before. image park city with a harbor and you have gig harbor. its super nive and peaceful. nights are great. weather has cool off a little but continue to see sun. have not seen rain since i left aberdeen. one exciting thing this week is i hit my four month mark on sunday. as many of you know i have a great love for singing. and continued opportunities arise im in the ward choir in gig harbor 1st and i will be in the stake choir for stake conference coming up the 22nd and 23rd. and i also will be in the missionary firesides in silverdale (which is north of here on the way to PA) and the Port Angales fireside the weekend of the 16th and 17th.im super excited to return to the great land up north and be able to be in PA again. a week from today (tuesday) we are doing a special training at zions camp but before that we get to mess around on all the different things they have like archery, rops course, and many different things they have there. im super excited, zions camp is near belfair which is west of here. today we had interviews with president and sister weaver which i really enjoyed. for labor day, we went to tacoma mall which was great. i didnt buy anything but there was alot of people there. and getting to drive across the narrows. anyday is fun. saturday we helped with this community services project the run across the narrows. i got two really cool shirts from it and was wearing a super cool bright construction vest. i mean anytime you wear a vest thats bright orange is fanatsic. and i was right next to the narrows bridge, we play basketball alot here at 630 in the morning. we go to the gym and work all the time. and we go to chiropractor on wednesday for free and get our backs adjusted not sure if it helped. buts it free. memebers are really great up here. i have learned alot. im learning how to garden. all sorts of stuff. its been great. i finished the book of mormon on friday and i started and finished jospeh smith history. now working on doctrine and covenants continue to return and study trhe book of mormon. i have had the opportunity to bear my testimony of it. if i learned anything more than anything else is how important thew book of mormon plays in our conversion to jesus christ. i would like to bring in the help of one of fellow brothern in whom i serve with: Jeffery R. Holland;
For 179 years this book has been examined and attacked, denied and deconstructed, targeted and torn apart like perhaps no other book in modern religious history—perhaps like no other book in any religious history. And still it stands. Failed theories about its origins have been born and parroted and have died—from Ethan Smith to Solomon Spaulding to deranged paranoid to cunning genius. None of these frankly pathetic answers for this book has ever withstood examination because there is no other answer than the one Joseph gave as its young unlearned translator. In this I stand with my own great-grandfather, who said simply enough, “No wicked man could write such a book as this; and no good man would write it, unless it were true and he were commanded of God to do so.”
I testify that one cannot come to full faith in this latter-day work—and thereby find the fullest measure of peace and comfort in these, our times—until he or she embraces the divinity of the Book of Mormon and the Lord Jesus Christ, of whom it testifies. If anyone is foolish enough or misled enough to reject 531 pages of a heretofore unknown text teeming with literary and Semitic complexity without honestly attempting to account for the origin of those pages—especially without accounting for their powerful witness of Jesus Christ and the profound spiritual impact that witness has had on what is now tens of millions of readers—if that is the case, then such a person, elect or otherwise, has been deceived; and if he or she leaves this Church, it must be done by crawling over or under or around the Book of Mormon to make that exit. In that sense the book is what Christ Himself was said to be: “a stone of stumbling, … a rock of offence,” a barrier in the path of one who wishes not to believe in this work. Witnesses, even witnesses who were for a time hostile to Joseph, testified to their death that they had seen an angel and had handled the plates. “They have been shown unto us by the power of God, and not of man,” they declared. “Wherefore we know of a surety that the work is true.”
i know for a fact that is true and i also add my testimony to you that i know that the book of mormon finds people when they are down and out in the last innning before we are about to give up hope and raise our hands and say im done. the book of mormon sweaps in their with a word and a feeling of peace thats brings you to your knees to thank God, your very eternal Father in heaven for that trail of faith and hardship in which we have endured well to the end. The book of mormon lifts and provides the means on which we can lean on Christ and find comfort, the trails we go through are nothing like what mormon and moroni have gone through. i mean think about if you saw your entire family beening destoried by that cunning and wicked devil through whatever means he can to slip his hand into your lives. i invite you stand and attack with the army of god that cause for evil with the book of mormon and testimonies. i promises you that by the power of God and through Jesus Christ you can be and will be uplifted comforted and find joy in the journey through this life on this planet. Jesus Christ lives and loves you til the end you are and always will be a daughter or son of a living and awesome God!!
 i leave you my wonderful family in which i love and pray for daily, in the name of my redeemer, Jesus Christ, Amen
 i love you guys so much
Elder R. Johnson
Quote: Jesus does not give us easy things so we can be mediocre people, but gives us hard things so we can be extraordinary people in the life to come!
Scripture: Mormon 8:24:
 24 And he knoweth their aprayers, that they were in behalf of their brethren. And he knoweth their faith, for in his name could they remove bmountains; and in his name could they cause the earth to shake; and by the power of his word did they cause cprisons to tumble to the earth; yea, even the fiery furnace could not harm them, neither wild beasts nor poisonous serpents, because of the power of his word.
